This Italian hoagie dip is basically a deconstructed sandwich in a bowl. It does make a good amount so you may want to take it to a large gathering and it works great as an appetizer or side dish.
Italian Hoagie Dip
Ingredients
- ¼ lb Deli Turkey
- ¼ lb Deli Ham
- ¼ lb Salami
- ¼ lb Pepperoni
- ¼ lb Muenster Cheese
- ¼ lb Provolone Cheese
- ⅛ lb Parmesan Cheese
- 1 head Romaine Lettuce small
- 3 Roma Tomatoes
- ½ c Pepperoncini
- 1 Sweet Onion small
- ¾ c Mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Pepperoncini Brine from the jar
- 2 tsp Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Oregano dried
- 1 tbsp Basil dried
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- Chop the deli meat, salami, pepperoni, muenster, and provolone cheese and place in a bowl.
- Shred the parmesan and add to the mixture.
- Chop the lettuce, tomato and pepperoncini and add to the bowl.
- Finely chop the onion and add.
- In a separate bowl mix together the mayo, oil, brine, vinegar, oregano, basil, and pepper.
- Add the mayo mixture to the larger bowl and use a large spoon to toss until mixed through.
Notes
- Serve with a sliced baguette, crostinis, or pita chips
- You may need to add more or less lettuce, tomato, and/or onion depending on the size
