Italian Hoagie Dip

This Italian hoagie dip is basically a deconstructed sandwich in a bowl.  It does make a good amount so you may want to take it to a large gathering and it works great as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • ¼ lb Deli Turkey
  • ¼ lb Deli Ham
  • ¼ lb Salami
  • ¼ lb Pepperoni
  • ¼ lb Muenster Cheese
  • ¼ lb Provolone Cheese
  • lb Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 head Romaine Lettuce small
  • 3 Roma Tomatoes
  • ½ c Pepperoncini
  • 1 Sweet Onion small
  • ¾ c Mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Pepperoncini Brine from the jar
  • 2 tsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Oregano dried
  • 1 tbsp Basil dried
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Chop the deli meat, salami, pepperoni, muenster, and provolone cheese and place in a bowl.
  • Shred the parmesan and add to the mixture.
  • Chop the lettuce, tomato and pepperoncini and add to the bowl.
  • Finely chop the onion and add.
  • In a separate bowl mix together the mayo, oil, brine, vinegar, oregano, basil, and pepper.
  • Add the mayo mixture to the larger bowl and use a large spoon to toss until mixed through.

Notes

  • Serve with a sliced baguette, crostinis, or pita chips
  • You may need to add more or less lettuce, tomato, and/or onion depending on the size
