This is a quick and easy tzatziki sauce that works great as a dip with pita, veggies, chips, etc… It also is a great addition to Mediterranean dishes such as gyros or falafel.
Tzatziki Sauce
Servings: 10 – 20
Ingredients
- 1 Cucumber
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 bunch Fresh Dill
- 1 Lemon
- 1 c Greek Yogurt
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 ½ tsp White Balsamic Vinegar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- pinch Sugar
Instructions
- Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Grate the cucumber and add to a bowl.
- Mince the garlic and add to the cucumber.
- Mince the dill, removing any stems, and add about 2 tbsp to the cucumber.
- Juice the lemon and add to the cucumber mixture.
- Add greek yogurt, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Stir to combine. Chill in fridge until ready to serve.
Notes
- No need to peel the cucumber, you can grate the skin right into the mixture.
- Fresh dill works best but you can substitute dried dill if needed.
