Tzatziki Sauce

Tzatziki Sauce

This is a quick and easy tzatziki sauce that works great as a dip with pita, veggies, chips, etc…  It also is a great addition to Mediterranean dishes such as gyros or falafel.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 bunch Fresh Dill
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 c Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 ½ tsp White Balsamic Vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • pinch Sugar

Instructions

  • Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Grate the cucumber and add to a bowl.
  • Mince the garlic and add to the cucumber.
  • Mince the dill, removing any stems, and add about 2 tbsp to the cucumber.
  • Juice the lemon and add to the cucumber mixture.
  • Add greek yogurt, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  • Stir to combine. Chill in fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

  • No need to peel the cucumber, you can grate the skin right into the mixture.
  • Fresh dill works best but you can substitute dried dill if needed.
