Maryland Crab Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Parsley
  • ½ tsp Mustard
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • 1 lb Blue Crab Meat jumbo lump

Instructions

  • In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, Old Bay, parsley, mustard.
  • Beat egg, add to bowl and mix all ingredients.
  • Stir in the bread crumbs.
  • In a large bowl add the crab meat and mayo mixture. Gently mix the crab by hand as to not break apart the crab meat.
  • Divide the crab meat and form 4 balls, do not pack tightly in order to keep the lumps of crab meat.
  • Bake at 375 for about 10 mins, or broil for about 5 mins until they are a nice golden brown.

Notes

  • This recipe is for store bought blue crab meat. You can also steam and pick your own crabs, if doing so the prep time will increase significantly.
  • This pairs well with Tartar Sauce and can be eaten as is or as a sandwich.
