Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ¾ c Sugar
  • 2 c Heavy Cream
  • 1 c Half & Half
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Mix the eggs and sugar together until smooth.
  • Add remaining ingredients and continue mixing until combined.
  • Add to a cold ice cream maker and churn until you get a good creamy ice cream.
  • Move to a storage container and place in freezer overnight.

Notes

  • Having an ice cream maker of some sort makes this process a lot easier. We use the attachment for the Kitchen-Aid mixer, which works well for us.
  • This works as a great base for ice cream, you can add other flavors or mix-ins to change it up.
  • You can eat the ice cream right away, but we find putting it in the freezer overnight helps firm it up a little more.
