We found these buttermilk cheddar biscuits on Little Spice Jar. We left the recipe as is but re-worked the instructions slightly. These work great as a quick and easy dinner biscuit.
Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients
- 2 c Flour
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Powdered Milk
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder divided
- 2 tbsp Parsley divided
- 12 tbsp Butter divided
- 1 c Buttermilk
- 2 c Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- In a bowl combine flour, salt, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, 1 ½ tsp garlic powder, and 1 tbsp parsley.
- Melt 8 tbsp of butter. Add the melted butter and buttermilk to the flour mixture and combine with a spatula.
- Add the cheese and fold into the dough.
- Create 12 equally sized dough balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown on top.
- While baking melt 4 tbsp of butter.
- Add ½ tsp of garlic powder and a tbsp of parsley to the melted butter. Stir to combine.
- Brush the butter mixture on top of the biscuits when they come out of the oven.
