Croutons

This is an easy way to make homemade croutons and can be added to any salad. These will be a little softer than traditional store bought and have a great flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 c Fresh Italian Bread (Frozen)
  • 3 tbsp Extra Vigin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter or Margarine
  • 1 tsp Paprika (sweet)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregeno

Instructions

  • Cut bread into bite sized cubes
  • Mix bread cubes with seasonings
  • In a heated skillet, melt butter or margarine. Add the bread pieces. Sautee until fully incorporated into bread pieces.
  • Add olive oil a little at a time while continuing to mix with the bread. Continue to add more olive oil a little bit at a time to ensure bread is frying and not toasting.
  • Continue sauteeing the bread cubes until lightly browned. Be sure to continuously stir and turn cubes so that they do not burn.
