Gooey Buns are recipe Craig’s mom used to make while growing up. Only recent modification is more eggs and salt and pepper.
Gooey Buns

Ingredients
- 6 Large Eggs
- 5 oz Canned Tuna
- 2/3 c Miracle Whip
- 4 tbsp Relish
- 2 1/2 c Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- 8 Hot Dog Buns
- 2 Green Onion (optional)
- 8 Cherry Tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Hard Boil the eggs.
- Peel and chop the hard boiled eggs.
- Drain and add the tuna to the eggs.
- Mix the egg and tuna mixture with the Miracle Whip, relish, cheese, salt and pepper.
- Divide the mixture evenly into the hot dog buns.
- Place four filled buns on a sheet of aluminum foil and using another piece of aluminum foil cover and fold the ends together. Repeat with the remaining four buns.
- Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
- Chop the green onions and tomatoes. When the buns are finished baking add the onions and tomatoes to the top and serve.
Notes
- Either solid white or chunk light tuna in water works best.
